arrival

i’ve been craving
sintimacy

i’ve been slaving
my way through the seas

waiting for the arrival

surfing the waves of plastic skin
and a plaster grin

the airplane never takes off
it never took off
my clothes

i wonder when it will arrive
when i stop feeling the hard press of knives
3.2.1. lift off
pop back into place
my discs off

they say some day heaven is coming down to hell
but i’ll never tell

i’ve been waiting for religion to hit me
for sadness to miss me
the arrival of complete

checkered suede
underpaid attention
homeless made
mute mentions of a heavenly cresent

waiting for the arrival
